Back when UNLV was still called Nevada Southern University, there were a group of girls who called themselves the Phi Delta Chi's. The girls were dependable and were often called upon by the Office of the Dean to help with various activities such as fundraising drives and ushering school tours. As Phi Delta Chi grew, so did their interest in becoming part of a national sorority. Las Vegas had a large number of active Alpha Delta Pi alumnae who wanted Phi Delta Chi to become the local Alpha Delta Pi chapter. With a little help from the alumnae, and a great interview with Alpha Delta Pi representatives, the club became a sisterhood through Alpha Delta Pi! May 4, 1968 is an important day in Epsilon Rho's past for it began the tradition and strong ties of sisterhood and loyalty upon which we are still building. The Epsilon Rho Chapter celebrated its 40th anniversary at UNLV in 2008! The Epsilon Rho Chapter was also given the title by popular vote “Best Sorority on Campus” in 2009. In 2010, our chapter earned one of the highest honors awarded from our national organization, the “Diamond Four Point Award.” The Epsilon Rho Chapter is rooted deeply in rich tradition and continues to be a leader among sororities in the UNLV Greek Community!
